The meat loaf sandwich was TO DIE FOR!! Oh lordt..our entire family ordered one and it was just phenomenal
This app needs a six star rating for this place! Wonderful meal prepared and served by wonderful people.A quiet and cozy atmosphere with a rich and tasteful menu!Had the Cove Pasta - the best!
Lovely view. I was not actually in the cafe, but, who would miss this very scenic spot on Whidbey?
Food was fantastic.
Amazing location out at the end of the pier and the mussel chowder (only available on Saturday) is out of this world! Loaded with succulent mussels, smoky bacon and add in a spicy kick making this chowder world class!
A popular cafe when visiting Coupeville. We went there during the water festival where a few wooden sailing ships were available to tour. Tha place is at the end of the dock. The mussels were excellent, as was the meatball sandwich. The desserts were also a hit. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Very sweet place with very good food and drinks good place to eat and relax
The green curry mussels were very fresh & excellent. Try the Mexican chocolate mousse for a wonderful taste treat. Service was fast & friendly. Prices were a great value. We will be back to this place again soon.
Great food and very kind staff. Excellent mussels and great kids menu.
Excellent fish and chips. The clam chowder was excellent!
I was brought here by some family members and we had a very nice late lunch overlooking the sunny Waterfront! Inside Space is extremely cozy and has a lovely View of the water outside. We ordered a chicken sandwich which was absolutely excellent with melty cheese and plenty of flavor, a Reuben sandwich, and wonderful steamed mussels as well as blueberry crisp a la mode for dessert! Everything was lovely and we chatted with servers about some of the famous movies that have been filmed on Whidbey Island. I would definitely come back again, and next time try the clam chowder or fish and chips!
Good food, good price, great view!
Amazing location, great service, and wonderful food. In the past I have been a regular at the front street grille, but since first coming here I haven't gone back. The food, price and service is superior here at the cove cafe.
Really enjoyed our lunch here! The town is a great little stop on the scenic drive. Loved that the restaurant was on the pier and we sat by a window so could see the boats and water. The fish and chips were fantastic!
Delicious. Friendly. Amazing. Loved all aspects of this place. Such nice and understanding people. GLUTEN-FREE OPTIONS! Loved that. Super great food and lovely atmosphere. Such a cute little cafe. We had a really nice time.
Our visit was on a cold windy day. The food and service were great and I will definitely go back. My only complaint would be about how chilly it was but it's an old building on the water and that might be hard to fix!
Amazing fish tacos! My son also loved the grilled cheese. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be coming back here!
Had a chicken Parmesan sub and cole slaw. Wife had a tuna melt and clam chowder. All was great especially the clam chowder.
Good little eatery. It's at the end of the pier in town. Service was very friendly and quick. Food was good. My only issue and biggest feedback I would have for this restaurant (and pretty much every one we go to)is to make sure you clean..not just from head level down. Look up on occasion. Don't let this cause you to miss this spot though. Still worth it.
Great lunch fare, unique mussels.Every place on Whidbey Island has basically the same standard preparation for Penn Cove mussels, but this place does them just as little bit different and result is interesting and unique. The BLT is also an interesting and unusual take on a classic that works, with thick and generous cuts of bacon. If you hold your "lighter-fare" to a high standard, then you should try this place. Also kid friendly!
Good food. Fast service. Beautiful scenery.
Fresh "clean burning " food! Best value for #1 quality/happy nice people
The Cove Cafe was wonderful! Fast and friendly service!! Michelle and June are wonderful! I ordered the fish and chips. Great golden brown fry on them, fish was wonderful! Tartar sauce, which is something I don’t usually eat was fantastic! Views are great and the restaurant is so clean! Had a wonderful experience here, absolutely would come back!
The other reviewer was right: these fish and chips are excellent. Crispy outside, soft flakey inside. I arrived 15 to close and was welcomed in. Service was fast and friendly. It's a bit more than I'd usually pay for lunch but the food quality and amount were satisfying. And being able to see the cove out the windows is a treat.
Food was fresh and tasty. Owners are very friendly. I had a nice Sunday lunch there.
Went with two friends and we all had the mussel chowder and declared it the best we've ever had. Lots of mussels and it has a little spicy kick. Can't wait to go back for more!
Really great food and fun, unique location at the end of the Coupville pier. Nice cozy, casual cafe. And like the open kitchen design. We dont feel out of place if going for a bite after a hike at Ebeys Landing. Had tasty Penn Cove mussels and Northwest Salad. Would go back
Rude owner. Not kid and big family friendly. We will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. According to the recent response I didn't speak to the owner. My 90 year old grandmother wanted our family to eat here. The staff was not helpful and I made a comment " why are we eating here then ?" Some rude staff member talking about owning a small business over heard my private conversation and got in my face. I politely told him that I was talking to my family. This rude man who seemed to be a owner kept hounding me. Finally he left. Owner or not....maybe this business should re think who they hire.
Very homey with a nice feel to it. The wait staff did a great job accommodating our group.
Five of us went for lunch, and every one of us had a great meal. The staff is friendly, and warm. We will definitely go back again.
Beautiful location and friendly staff
Terrific casual dining experience with great views. We went to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed the yellowfin sashimi, wild boar ribs, duck tenderloin strips, and fish & chips (homemade tartar sauce was on point). They even comped me a yummy mexcian-inspired chocolate mousse that was a great balance of dense and airy and not too overly sweet or spiced. Menu is concise with a good selection of flavors and experiences. Definitely worth the walk down the pier!
had an amazing time talking with everyone who worked there and getting to know some of the locals. the food was great! we had the clam chowder and the mussels. both were wonderful. highly recommended!
After being disappointed with a few of the restaurants in Coupeville, I was pleasantly surprised with The Cove. It's not on Front St., but at the end of the pier. My out of town guests and I must have arrived a little after the lunch rush because we were seated immediately. A large party that was just leaving were all complimenting the chef. The food was excellent, my guests and I loved our entrees. They serve beer and wine, also.
Excellent muscles! Great fish and chips! Reasonable prices and friendly service!
Probably had the best BLT here ever! We'll definately go back!
Friendly Server and delicious food ❤❤❤
Great food, great location. We enjoyed the friendly hospitality, and you have to have the carrot cupcake! :)
Amazing fresh mussels! The fish and chips are delicious.
We had a group of 5 and were seated very quickly. The location was beautiful, directly on the pier with views of the water everywhere. We even saw a seal on the walk out. The food was fantastic and the service was good as well. The fish was fresh and delicious, very light and cooked perfectly. The chicken sandwich had a tomato pesto that was to die for. There was an attention to detail with their food that is getting harder and harder to find. We will definitely be back.
A great place for lunch. Beautiful setting on the historic wharf in Coupeville. Sandwiches are fresh and the staff is nice. We always bring family and friends here for a laid back meal. Will definitely be back.
If you thin and panko battered fish you’ll love the Cove. Fish n chips and tuna melt are the best. The tartar and coleslaw are also the bomb. The waitress was the sweetest, nicest young lady. She checked on us at half a dozen times.
Charming spot out at the end of the pier. Beautiful views, very hospitable and excellent quality and selection of food and beverages. The mussels were absolutely delicious!
This is a gem of a restaurant! The manager seated me in a quiet corner with a window view, and the service was quick and attentive. I ordered the fish and chips which was simply delightful; the crunchy golden brown panko breading was a perfect compliment to the cod, and held up nicely to the dozen or so lemon slices I squeezed on it. The "chips" were a delicious thin fry reminiscent of McDonald's fries, but even better! Held up nicely to the malt vinegar. The clam chowder was piping hot and obviously homemade, very tasty. Sure wish there was a place like this in San Antonio!
Superb fish and chips! The menu is perfectly simple and the food is lovingly made. Service is very warm and friendly; and the location is unbeatable. Don't miss this charming café!
The fish and chips are some of the best I've had. Light with panko type of crumbs. They have some great local beers on tap too.
Real good fresh fish.
Amazing location and organic coffee (and milk!) yum.
Good food, nice location.
Good fresh fish! There is no kids menu, but they are willing to accommodate. They offered a grilled cheese for our kids. Menu is limited, but I understand given that the space is small. Fast service, food came out very quickly. This place is ok 👌
